For live scanning, choose Allow camera and approve Android’s permission request. If access was denied, open Android Settings → Apps → ScanNova → Permissions → Camera. Menu names may vary by device. You can still create codes or select an image without granting camera access.

Place the code inside the scanning frame and keep the camera steady. Improve the lighting, clean the lens or move slightly farther away if the code is not recognized. Use Flash when supported, or choose Gallery to scan a code in an image you select.

Open the navigation menu → Create, select the content type, enter your information and choose Generate QR code. Review the result before using Share QR or Save. Wi-Fi and Contact codes can include sensitive information; share them only with intended recipients.

Open Records, select a record and use its menu → Delete record. To remove all local Records and Favorites, open Settings → Clear all records and confirm. This also clears the app’s private QR sharing cache, but does not delete images already saved to your gallery, document provider or another person’s device.

Open Create → Contact and turn Save my details off. This clears the remembered profile separately from Records. Information already visible in the current form can remain in that draft; delete any Contact QR records separately if needed.
